Good evening WLL Families! Spring is right around the corner and you know what that means....it's time to get our fields ready! We are looking for volunteers to help get our fields ready for the 2024 Spring Little League Season at Roseland Park Fields on 4/6/2023 @ 9am. Note that there will be a Softball tournament on the softball field that we will have to work around.
Below is a list of tasks we would like to accomplish with your help:
Set up batting cage net
- Move all L-screens, infield screens and pitching screens out of outdoor storage sheds.
- Clean out concession stands
- Wash concession stand awnings
- Set up all trash barrels around the fields
- Inventory and sort all playing equipment
- Replace pitching rubber in Futures Field
- Paint Foul poles in baseball field
- Replace backstops
- Power wash buildings
- Rake and drag infields on all fields
- Clean up leaves and debris around the fields
- Fix/repair baseball bullpens
- Hang outfield fence screens and sponsor banners on baseball and softball fields
- Any other miscellaneous repairs/maintenance needed
Please consider coming to the fields and lending a hand. Help of any kind would certainly be appreciated! If you have a ladder, rake, wheel barrel or any other tools you think will be helpful, please bring with you!
As you can see from the list above, there is much to be done.....Please do your part and help! WLL is a volunteer-run organization and it cannot function effectively without your help. Even if you can only stay an hour or so, every little bit helps!
